Hotel (if payments made by 11/30/18):
We will be staying at the beautiful garden styled hotel The Maison St. Charles. The hotel is less than a half mile (15 minutes walk) to the Convention Center and the Superdome. And if you prefer not to walk, the St. Charles Street Car passes directly in front of the hotel and get you directly to any location including the Convention Center, Superdome, Canal Street and the French Quarters. You can get a weekend bus pass that can help you get around the entire festival by hopping on a bus. The hotel offers very nice rooms, courtyard view with pool and other premium amenities and a full breakfast included daily.
Deposits are due by November 30, 2018, to reserve the rooms within in walking distance.
Hotel Announcement:
We have confirmed a second hotel for Essence. This is the Radisson Hotel in New Orleans East. The cost is the same due to the additional bus requirements for this location. We will have daily drop-offs and pickups to the Essence Festival daily, which is about 15 minutes from the hotel. This is a new hotel that has top amenities and near various restaurants and other venues.
Transportation:
We are leaving Atlanta July 5th at 1:00 AM and returning on July 8th by 9:00 PM
We will be traveling on a comfortable motorcoach with a bathroom and outlets. We will be serving complimentary snacks and beverages on the bus.
Men are welcome to attend and single men accommodations are based on room type availability.
Don’t have a roommate?
We will have a room assignment event closer to the travel date for roommate assignments. You can select your own roommates at this event. We will also have a plan to help with getting the best room assignments based on your survey responses.

If you are not able to pay the deposit by the 11/30/18 deadline, we may offer a second hotel option. This hotel may be further away from the central area, but we will have a daily bus schedule to drop you off to the events. It’s more convenient to be at the first hotel, so I would suggest that you make your payment as soon as possible.
Payments:
This deposit is non-refundable but may be transferred to another person that is not currently registered for the trip. You can only offer your space to other group members after the trip is full. Once you have made the $100 deposit, you will have the option to continue your payments through a PayPal (send payment to a friend), the Cash App or mail your payments. You can make monthly payments or payment in full at any time. You will receive a full refund if the trip is canceled. The trip is non-refundable because payments are made to the hotel and your space is confirmed. Please be sure that you can attend before you make any payments.
