The day event is free, but this year they are requiring that you register. You can also purchase additional tickets by Essence on this page. There are other events available during the festival.

Saturday Day Trip Schedule:
Leave Atlanta by 1:00 am (First pick up in Dunwoody at 12:00 AM)
Arrive New Orleans by 10 am at the Convention Center
Pick Up at Superdome at 11:00 pm (after the concert)
Pick Up at Harrah's Casino at 11:30 pm
Depart New Orleans about 12:00 am
Arrive in Atlanta by 10:00 am Sunday morning
We will stop to freshen up at the Louisiana Rest Stop before arriving in New Orleans. So you can dress comfortably for the trip. Please travel lightly when in New Orleans, but you are allowed to leave items on the bus. Remember you will not have access to the bus until our scheduled pick up time.
Cost:
Cost per person is $125 for transportation and light refreshments on the bus.
In New Orleans, spend the day at the Convention Center where all the Essence Festival Day events happen. Meet celebrities, live performances, African-American inspired events, shop and eat all in one place. Also ample seating available to take breaks from the activities. The Day Festival is FREE. Also, you are in the middle of the heart of New Orleans. You can walk to the Riverwalk, French Quater, Casinos, several famous restaurants and many other tourists activities.
We've designed the trip to enjoy the Day Festival and Saturday Night Concert at the Superdome. The bus will pick up at the Convention Center at 7 pm for dinner and night out. For those that plan to attend the concert, the bus will pick up near the Superdome at 11:00 pm.
Pick Up and Drop Off:
The bus will pick up in two locations in Atlanta (Dunwoody and College Park). Actual locations will be sent to registered attendees only a week before the event. The pickup locations will be easily accessible and at least one will be near a MARTA station.
Trip Policy:
Payments: Payments are non-refundable, but transferrable up to 48 hours before the trip. Please let us know if you cannot attend as soon as possible.
Parking: Parking will be available at/near pick up locations in a public parking lot. You will also be able to be dropped off at these locations. Parking is at your own risk, so you will be provided for any damages or theft at these locations.
